So much excitement this weekend - my body is still recovering from the race and lack of sleep. Alicia and I started out the weekend by heading down to the casino to pick up our race packets. Unfortunately, Seasons 52 was out of desserts which is what we were both most looking forward to. Grant and I took dinner over to our friend Nikki and Jon's house so we could hang out and hold the new baby.
I really enjoyed the Queen Bee course much better than the Pig. 1) Going up a huge hill for the first 2 miles is much easier than going up said hill at mile 6. 2) I loved running through Walnut Hills and Hyde Park and Mt. Lookout and the East End. There's so many cool places I'd like to check out that I would have never noticed just driving by.
I ran by Eli's BBQ while they were smoking the meat in the morning and decided that's what we had to have for dinner that night. So we met up with Jacob and Chrissie and baby Jack and introduced Chrissie's sister Katie to the best BBQ in the city.
Grant and I did welcome team at church, and then Katie and took Daphne to 2nd Sunday on Main for a little art and a dog parade. Daphne cracked me up because she made this giant great dane submit to her and he just rolled on to his back and took it from our bratty dog. I'll pretend it's because he found her so alluring.
Did you do anything exciting this weekend??
